Here is a super nice advertising lapel or collar clip from the H. Traiser & Co. makers of Pippins brand cigars of Boston, Mass. This is the first of its kind that we have ever found. At first we believe that this piece was advertising "Pippins" apples, which there is a type of. However while researching we came across a paper label with the exact same logo for the "Pippins" brand of cigars. This clip we believe dates circa 1900-1920. It is in excellent condition for its age without any problems of any type that we can find. It is in near mint condition. The stamped clover-like symbol on the back either indicates the maker, or possibly a union-type symbol. This symbol is the first of its kind, that we have ever encountered. It measures 3/4" across, by 3/4" in height. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please feel free to email us any questions or concerns. You will be answered in a timely manner.
