This lovely 8 1/2" "SFBJ 301" Paris bisque head doll is elaborately dressed, I believe, in the costuming of the Brittany province of France. She was manufactured by the Societe Francaise de Fabrication de Bebes et Jouets, Paris, France, circa 1899-on. She is an especially pretty doll with one stroke brown brows, set blue glass eyes detailed with delicately painted upper and lower lashes, a finely modeled nose (rub at tip) with coral painted nostrils, rosy cheeks, an open coral mouth with upper teeth, and a dimpled chin, Her bisque socket head is attached to a clean five piece paper mache body that sustains a few light cracks along the front of its legs. Her head and legs are a bit swingy. She remains in overall very nice condition with minimal dust and discoloration from age and storage. She is perfectly sized for cabinet display.
