This vintage 129th century English men's silver pocket watch is an exceptional find. It is designed with an unusual bulbous bezel crystal with a flattened polished center. The decorative face features hand cut Roman numerals & is accented with a small unnumbered dial with a second hand. Unfortunately, it appears that the minute hand is missing. The frame of the watch lid & back resemble the side of a coin with a scored edge. The interior side of the back cover reveals three punch marks & the initials W J. The punch marks reveal a lion's body in profile, an animal head with a three point crown &, the letter U. I , also, see a tiny script initial that may be the letter G or the number 2. Opening the other side of the watch reveals the back of the mechanism to be gold with an unusual decorated insert plate displaying the north wind. The watch is key wind & the original key is included. The watch does not run.
