In an Ardsley, New York estate, I found this pair of 1930's nude photographs. Framed & matted, these photos are beautifully preserved & display the rich sepia tone typical of photos of this era. Each photograph is signed Samuel Bernard Schaeffer. In one photo, the subject, bare breasted, is positioned telephone to her ear, in a lit foreground while consumed by the night background. The other study reveals a full figure nude, bending as if to play "peek a boo" with a hanging drape. Due to the glare reflecting from the glass, I photographed each at angles. The photographs/frames are in excellent condition unrestored original condition.
