Here is a really neat piece from the past. This was made between 1914 and 1918, this is made of metal, and it has the Exploding Grenade Insignia on the front. When you lift the hat, there is an inkwell, there is no glass jar, but it is over 100 years old and it has held up nicely. The only thing I could find about this, is one is currently in the Pritzker Military Museum and Library. The piece is 3 3/8" long and 3" wide and 2" tall. This is just charming... of course, I was using it to display with a doll, up under his arm. The piece is really neat, light surface scratches due to age... but I would like to just have some surface scratches at this age.
