This is a sweet piece with old paint, I have had this and never even noticed a small placed actually carved Mexico in small letters. The cane stands 14 1/2" tall. This is a great display piece for a doll. I switched it around and used it on a couple of different dolls. This is just a sweet display piece, with black and red paint on the cane.
