Here is a rather fancy old wood two piece stove set. This is made of wood and painted and it is really fancy with a metal screen at the base. The piece is a two piece set that sits on top of the other. You could actually use each piece separately. The piece stands just over 12" tall. This have metal trim at the top and bottom.
