I love this, this is a great place for you to put your dolls in, and the background is already painted. The front is glass and it is framed in wood and the back is like a wood box. There is plenty of room for you to place and arrange your miniature items.. then hang it on a wall or set it on a table to display. The box is 18" X 23" and it is 7" wide to fill up with dolls or other miniatures. There is a platform the dolls can stand on and the background scene is wonderful. The box is signed on the bottom, by who painted this beautiful piece, and it reads Serena Hoffman Gilman 1865.. This is a neat old piece and so many ideas of how you can use and display this.
