Here is a Gorgeous Ornate Engraved LARGE Thorens Disc Music Box, or record player. The Music Box is stunning in itself is is nicely engraved all over and has the little legs that allow you to set this just about anywhere... I had it on a marble top table in the Foyer and then in Christmas we put it in the den. This works beautifully, there are 47 Disc that come with this so you will never tire of listening to this beautiful sound. The piece is very heavy and nicely made. The disc all reads Thorens Switzerland, and from my earlier reading the engraving was attributed to Fred Zimbalist, who had started with Harmonica's he was born in 1903. I believe this is from the 50's. The box is gorgeous just to display but when it is playing it gets everyone's attention. The piece stands 8 1/2" tall and it is 16 1/2" long.
