A very fine Louis XVI period arm chair that appears to be made of some kind of fruitwood either Apple or Pearwood with very detailed carving throughout. This is a period chair and a great example of this style. Upholstered in a very fine striped Silk fabric that is in very good condition with no stains or visible ware, just very minor discoloration on the arm pads that probably can be cleaned. This chair is solid and seats very well. The original Horse hair stuffing is still intact in the seat and back and I believe that this is only the second upholstery fabric this chair has ever had on it.
Measurements: Seat height is 16" to the crown.
Condition: Very old and possibly original color and surface. Some old minor repairs. Tight frame and upholstery.
