A fine early 18th Century French Walnut Side Table with a great color and patina. This is a beautiful early table that incorporates a very early 1700’s classic country French design. The top is constructed with a planked breadboard end design sitting over a molded apron and a single long drawer. The Barley twist legs surround a nicely formed X stretcher base resting on five ball feet. All pegged construction on a classic style table that retains a very old and possibly original surface. The truly exceptional thing about this table is the fact that the drawer has made it through its history without anyone ever putting any hardware on it which is a really rare find for a piece that has been around for 300 years.
Condition: Very good. Some old minor repairs to the X stretcher and ball feet , great old or possibly original surface. Usual age marks for a piece of this era. Excellent color and patina. Surface cleaned and waxed.
