A very nice early Cherry Blanket Chest over three long drawers. Dating to the late 18th / early 19th century this chest has three long cock beaded graduated size working drawers over two blind drawers for the top blanket storage area. This piece retains an very old finish that was done many years ago and a nice warm patina that has lighted in color over the years as is evident by the darkened color of the Cherry under the drawer pulls. The case is all dovetailed together and the secondary wood on the drawer sides and bottoms is Pine.
Measurements: 39” tall x 21” deep x 40” wide.
Condition: Very old refinish, replaced pulls, some replaced glue blocks on the underside of the case. Customary use marks and age cracks for a piece of this age.
