American Mahogany Hepplewhite Chest - image 1 of 15

A very nice American Hepplewhite Mahogany chest probably of New England origin around 1800-1820. This piece has beautiful oval string inlay banding around the drawer fronts and a large figured Mahogany oval veneer inlay on the large top drawer centered between the two large shell inlays. A very strong heavy chest.

Condition: Older refinish, some older veneer replacements on the bottoms of the feet and the case sides and front apron, hardware looks to be original, minor case cracks on the top. Drawers are all working smoothly.
