A beautiful American Secretary Desk made sometime around 1830-40. This is a very nice two part Case piece that is made out of both Cherry and Poplar and faced with a very figured crotch Mahogany veneer on the doors and drawer fronts. This piece is in remarkable original condition with the exception of the Green felt being replaced at some point on the desk area. The original surface shows a very warm color and great patina to the Mahogany. The drawers and doors are working properly and the original key to the working locks is included. There is a 24” strip light installed on the underside of the top by a previous owner that lights up the top section of the cabinet.
Condition: very good, very minor veneer repairs or replacements, original cleaned and waxed surface.
Measurements: 75” tall x 39” wide x 20” deep.
