NOTE: one tiny marcasite is missing.
This is an early Art Deco ring, exhibiting a nicely carved piece of red salmon Mediterranean coral surrounded by tiny marcasites in an ornate setting. The pierced carving was probably made in Italy, during The Grand Tour. The dome shaped coral is carved with a large flower in the center.
Diameter of the face of the ring is 17 mm x 8 mm high above the finger.
The coral itself is 13 mm diameter x 4 mm (the outside high).
The ring is crafted of sterling silver, not marked, acid tested.
Size of the ring is 8.
Condition is nice and clean, ready to wear.
