Phenomenal style and exquisite construction are the hallmarks of this 1950's black rayon taffeta dress. Featuring a boned bodice, accentuated with pleated semicircle appliqué and attached spaghetti strap (which can be tucked away, the bust will definitely support itself). A full skirt with the most amazing fashion forward pleated geometric appliqués -- full in the center and tapering down like a cloudy pyramid, covering 3/4 of the hem (the center back side hem is undecorated) -- fabulously mirroring a full feminine silhouette. The skirt is made with a single layer of crinoline, and has a crinoline strip sewn along the hem. We added another full crinoline to showcase the appliqués, although it would not be necessary to wear one for this dress to be a knockout! The dress is a bit too large for our mannequin, by 2" in the waist, so we have pinned it in the rear.
Measurements: Bust 36" Waist 26" Length 41" measured from top of bust; 133" hem.
