This is one of those sets that is so beautiful it takes your breath away. Such beautiful construction, I sure thought it was Schiaparelli until I took a loupe to the signature. The embossed and repousse silver base metal, is stippled and rich with dark accents to give it the sterling look. Five glorious chunky open-work links measure 1 1/4" wide, and feature the most incredible 3/4" aurora borealis glass cabochons.... I assume they are foil backed~ and my best guess is the glass on the two end links is orange or salmon, the two adjacent links green and blue, and the center link cabochon is red. The earrings are also red. There are reflections in the photos ~ the white tent~ that detract a bit~ but the stones are iridescent and simply captivating. The effect is something like dragons breath, or heliotrope (although not purple), but so different and SO unique, so quite awesome! Because of the great condition of the AB coating, I wasn't sure how the glass was created until I took a loupe to the stones under intense lighting. I then noticed only a couple of flea bites to the coating. I believe the overlap of the metal preserved the glass unlike nothing I have seen before. The effect is mesmerizing~!
