This 1950's ensemble is simply awe inspiring~ a beautiful pale gold satin ribbon is expertly fashioned into a mesmerizing ground of swirling medallions with tightly coiled scallop borders. The dress neckline, sleeves and hem are finished with the tight coil or spring of ribbon. The bolero style jacket differs slightly in it's pattern~ a block of straight ribbon is inserted between the scallops to give the illusion of a band at the waist line. Darts below the waist. Unlined. Belt is lined in grosgrain ribbon. Dress has a grosgrain ribbon inside the waist with hook and eye closure. Metal zipper at the side of the dress. Just stunning!
Excellent condition with no flaws to note.
Miriam Haskell jewelry not included. Available in a separate listing in our shop.
