An incredibly inspired piece of 1950's fashion. No label but expertly made. Fashioned from a heavy 'swooshing' nylon taffeta that is very similar to the fabric that become so popular in designer clothing in the 1990's. Accented in a heavy white stitch, featuring horizontal bands of trapunto stitching on the bodice and skirt, stuffed with stiff crinoline. The color is shimmering red rose, no orange; we had to cool the photos way down to get it right. The lining of raw ivory silk is tattered, but we left it intact. Hand stitched silk taped hem, exceptional 1950's tailoring throughout, fitted flattering bodice... simply timeless! It is in nearly excellent condition but for a two tiny spots that we have photographed but have not attempted to remove. Measuring 35 1/2" or a snug 36" in the bust, 27" waist, 47" shoulder to hem, 15" shoulder to waist. Photo of the back is without our crinoline (otherwise photographed with crinoline - not included with this listing.) Fashion forward both then and now. **Note the main photo cuts off the bottom right side of the skirt.
