A stunning 1920's achievement in a "Lustro-Pearl" enameled steel mesh bag! This rare Mandalian purse features a most desirable pattern and color scheme. Set in a field of burnished butter which appears like pale 14k gold in low light, embellished with vibrant burnt orange, rich blazing golden yellow and haunting shades of slate and bluish gray -- crowned with a gold tone jointed bracelet style frame. Utterly vibrant and a-shimmer - with no enamel loss. Same pattern front and back. Comes in what I believe is it's original, plain cardboard box AND has it's original Mandalian authenticity card featuring two patent numbers!
Measures 8" long from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the fringe; 5" at it's widest point; frame measures 4 1/4" wide. Unlined.
A truly gorgeous specimen to flaunt or display.
Under examination with a loupe we detected two missing links where the mesh attaches to the frame and 4 1/2 missing fringe chains. This bag is unlined and is marked Pat Applied For on the rear of the clasp.
