This early unsigned, unmistakable Miriam Haskell necklace is the simple, Bohemian, yet elegant Frank Hess style that we love so much! Constructed of Russian gold plated smooth and roped brass rings and finished off with the pale green turquoise round glass beads capped by the signature Haskell "squids" (that's my term), this is just a great collector's piece. The clasp is the 'thumb-less spring-thingy' (that's a Cathy Gordon term), common among unsigned Haskell pieces.
Necklace measures 17" long and the dangles measure 1 1/2- 3" shortest to longest.
Condition: Very good. Some definite patina to the plating and some plating loss, (the photos magnify it all - just use that mouse zoom feature), neither of which, in our opinion, detracts from the beauty of the piece. The glass is free of chips; a couple of the beads have some very minor surface crackling which cannot be noticed unless thoroughly scrutinized.
