This is a circa 1915 watercolor of a cabin or small house on the shore of a partially frozen lake in winter. It measures 13 1/2" by 8 3/4 " and 19 1/2 " by 14 1/2 " in the vintage frame. I have looked at this out of the frame and saw the name "Mary Louise Young" written on the reverse of the paper. Askart shows a listing for an artist by this name, born in 1875 and deceased in 1962. That artist was born in Missouri and moved to southwest Connecticut as a child. In her twenties, that artist studied art in New York at the Art Students League under the American artist John Henry Twachtman. I am unable to conclude that this might be the same artist, so the painting and the pleasing old frame are offered as decorative art. The frame and painting are in very good condition.
