Carlo CESIO (1626-1686), Mercury brings Paris the golden apple, etching on paper measures 17" by 11 3/4" or 41.5 x 29.5 cm and 21" by 17 1/2" with the frame. Water mark can see on paper, see the picture. Painter and etcher; born in Antrodoco, Rieti. In the late 1640s he became a pupil of Pietro da Cortona in Rome. In 1657 he created a fresco for the Galleria di Alessandro VII in the Palazzo Quirinale; he also published a series of prints after Annibale Carracci's frescoes in the Galleria Farnese. The condition is very good considering the age.
