This is a black and white lithographic poster, titled "Aspens, Northern New Mexico, 1958", 23" by 19" image and 42 1/2" by 32" with the black frame, no glass. Hand signed with ink at lower right and numbered at the lower right edition of 317/350 by the famous American photographer ANSEL ADAMS (1902-1984). The image published in the early 1980's edition of 350, by the New York Graphic Society. Printed on a heavy stock paper so looks like a real photograph, and dry mounted and embossed on to special paper. Then Ansel Adams approved, signed and numbered each posted. the condition of the image is very good, the margins of the lithograph has a few light yellow brownish dots at the upper right and left corners, and a small discoloration at lower left -please review the pictures carefully. Adams and other photographers in the Rockies found aspen trees to be excellent subjects, with their white bark. Adams of course is one of the most important photographers of the 20th century, and most certainly among the top talents in the photography of nature and landscape. If you are a fan of his work, and many are, (countless thousands of unsigned posters of his images are sold every year), then you should appreciate the opportunity to own an object that he once touched, though briefly.
