This is a mid-nineteenth-century print titled "Kafila with a Camel Bearing a Hodesh, The Valley of the Nile", drawn by Emile Prisse d'Avennes, drawn on lithographic stone by Pierre Lehnert and printed by Lemercier. The coloring is by hand. The print is laid down on a card and in old handwriting is written in ink, "10. Zafileh (small caravan). Camel bearing the Hodejh (female covered saddle)". The print itself measures 11" by 14" and 25 1/2" by 30" with the frame. There is heavy foxing, mostly in the sky, but also a few spots elsewhere.
