This is a lovely Edwardian, ivory chiffon tea gown, probably dating to approximately 1910, heavily embellished with soutache in the Arts and Crafts style with an asymmetrical over skirt, a wide cummerbund and long streamers terminated with soutached balls. The gown has interior hooks and eyes for closure at the waist line, an interior set of snaps for closure at the bodice on the left side and a secondary set of snaps on the left side of the bodice. The long sleeves are also decorated with soutache trim. The gown measures 38" around the bust line, 28" around the waist line, and 38" around the hip line. It is in excellent vintage condition.
