This is a fabulous 1940's vintage, chic and comfortable, charcoal gray and white flannel shirtwaist dress which has been impeccably constructed and tailored. The dress must be slipped on over one's head to be worn and has buttons down the front of the bodice for closure. The bodice is fitted and has three quarter length sleeves with a button at each cuff. There is an interior waistband with a hook and eye closure and a belt with an unusual hook type of closure that goes into a hole which is then covered-up with the belt leaving the holes invisible. The skirt is knee length, is lined, and has an invisible pocket at each hip. The dress is so beautifully made that the lines on each sleeve match up perfectly and form a V pattern. The dress would be equivalent to a modern day Size 6 and is in excellent vintage condition.
