This is one of the most beautifully designed 1930's gowns that I have come across in my many years of collecting vintage clothing. The back of the gown is remarkable in its couture-like design details as well as its construction. There is a double ruffle around the neckline which continues to around the back of the gown with two straps that connect the collar to the back of the bodice. The modified train forms an inverted V that is accentuated with a deep ruffle. The gown comes with its own silk slip and has tiny strips of material with snaps which hold the the straps of the slip in place. The gown also has snaps on the left side for closure. It is equivalent in size to a modern day Size XS/S and is in excellent vintage condition.
