This is an exquisite 1930's black crepe evening gown with couture-like design, construction, and embellishments evoking the sultry, glamorous, and sensual attitude of that decade. The front of the gown has a modified cowl neckline which drapes beautifully across the bust line. The waist line is fitted. There is a center panel of fabric which accentuates the sleekness of the silhouette and also gives its bodice a slight blouson effect. There are two pleats at the bottom of the gown which give its skirt some fullness. The gown has snaps and an hook and eye at its left side for closure and also at its left shoulder for closure. Tiny fine braiding has been fashioned into a fishnet design to make the sleeves and the gown's low cut fishnet back. Each cuff has five fabric covered buttons for closure. The gown measures 18" across its bust line, 16" across its waist line, and 18.5" across its hip line and is in excellent vintage condition.
