This is an exquisite 1930's French, bias cut, Prussian Blue and gold lame gown with belt and Art Deco rhinestone buckle. The bias cut, across the grain of the fabric, causes the material to fall into a smooth, vertical drape and allows it to be easily manipulated into clinging folds. There are a series of snaps on the left hand side of the gown for closure and a weight has been sewn into the fabric in the center of the scooped-out back. The bust line measures 36" around, the waist measures 32" around, and the hips measure 40" around. The gown is in very good vintage condition consistent with its age and use.
