This is a lovely white Edwardian (1900-1914) tea gown on fine netting beautifully embellished with embroidered scallop designs. The bodice, skirt, and jacket are all attached together. The skirt has hooks and eyes for closure on its left side. Over the fine netting of the skirt, a panel with scalloped embroidery has been sewn to the skirt proper. The sleeveless bodice has been sewn to the skirt's waist band and tiny snaps are used for closure on the left side of the bodice. The jacket has been sewn to the back portion of the bodice and hangs freely opened in the front. It too has been embellished with four rows of scalloped embroidery. The gown's measurements include: 32" around the bust line, 25" around its waist line, and 38" around its hip line. The gown is in excellent vintage condition, consistent with its age and usage.
