Offered for sale is this 1920's vintage, Chinese red silk paired panel, wraparound skirt, masterfully hand-embroidered and decorated with egrets, peonies, and various flora and fauna. The intricacy of the needlework is quite astonishing. The pair is in very good vintage condition with the exception of some minor surface staining as shown in the right lower corner of the first image and the pale pink waistbands also have some variations in color. Other than that, the pair is in extraordinarily fine vintage condition consistent with its age and use of being approximately 100 years old. Each panel measures 26" across its waistband and 36" from the top of its waistband to the skirt's hemline.
