Offered for sale is this rare and unusual Africana ethnographic artifact/tribal skirt made of leather, intricate glass bead work designs in various colored patterns, and numerous cowrie shells. Cowrie shells were used throughout the African continent and were representative signs of fertility. The skirt measures 40" in width by 10" in height and is in excellent vintage condition. This artifact would be a wonderful addition preserved, mounted, and framed for the appropriate collector's interior setting.
