Antique closed mouth German two hole flat top closed dome (so called) Belton style bisque socket doll head, with glass eyes. Sold “ as found” condition. This head has pierced in ears, and was found damaged. All pieces appear to be there, with some glass on one eye gone. There is a chip on the lower eye rim, and also along the edge of the socket neck opening. This head has delicate coloring, feathered eyebrows, and painted upper and lower eyelashes. This head is marked “4” on the back of the head, and has a 6 1/2” head circumference, and measures 3” tall. The head ( with your composition body) should make into about a 12”-14” doll. This listing is for the head only- no body included with this listing.

Circa 1870 era, perhaps a good practice head for learning to repair bisque doll heads.
