Exquisite Edwardian (England, 1901-1910) mahogany armchairs intricately inlaid with ivory and veneer. The top rail ends with a scroll motif at each end, the beautifully pierced central splat with a semi-circular form that is further enhanced with finely inlaid marquetry depicting a vase and horn-type vases with a floral motif on each side. The side stiles angle out at a sharp point on each side, cabriole legs with pad feet are inlaid on the hips, the top of the curved arms are also inlaid. Height: 36” x 22 ½” wide x 21 ½” deep (height seat 16” w/o cushion)
