The Kaiser Porzellan was established in Germany in 1872. Throughout all of the European turmoil, wars, politics, and company leadership changes, this wonderful company persisted and continued to manufacture some of the finest ceramic and porcelain art work in history. The company went through several name changes, changes in leadership (but it was mostly family owned until the 70's) and many hard times brought about by economics . The Kaiser name still produced exquisite detail and expression by focusing on the artistic value of its products.
This lovely bisque statue entitled "Meditation" is a stunning young girl in bisque. She seems to be quite pensive. It is 9 inches tall and it is in excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks, or imperfections. It is clearly marked on the bottom with the "Kaiser, W. Germany" trade mark which would date its manufacture to the 1980's.
