The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was founded 1886. The company was a late entry player to the silver business in America. Originally the headquarters were in Invington, New Jersey but in 1895, the company moved to Sag Harbor, New York. In 1919, the company changed its name to Alvin Silver Co and in 1926 the company was purchased by Gorham.
These spoons are wonderful and only slightly used. They could be lightly polished to bring back their original brilliance. The larger spoon or tea spoon, is monogrammed on the back with the letter "C" or "G". Both spoons are marked with ".925" and the company logo.
