For over eighty years, the people of the Imperial Glass Corporation in Bellaire, Ohio produced some of the most elegant hand-crafted glassware this country has known. It is highly prized and collected today. Imperial glassware is popular because the of artistry and craftsmanship reflected in the glass and accomplished by the people who worked at the company.

The Company was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman. The handmade glass wares were sold worldwide and the factory was one of the largest glass factories under one roof. The company's most famous product is their "Candlewick" series.
The Imperial hit rough times in the early 1970s and was very close to bankruptcy. The company was purchased by another glass manufacturer and began to manufacture everyday glass items, but lack of demand eventually led to its closure in 1984.
