On August 14, 1903, Robert Hall founded The Hall China Company in East Liverpool, Ohio and unfortunately Mr. Hall died in 1904, and his son took over the business.
In 1911, the young Mr. Hall was successful in developing the first leadless glaze. The resulting products that came out of the kiln were strong, non-porous and craze-proof.
The popular Autumn Leaf pattern was Introduced for the Jewel Tea Company in 1933. Dinnerware and kitchen utensils were used as premiums to sell Jewel Tea Products. The quality and durability were so good that two-year guarantees were offered on all Hall products. The Autumn Leaf pattern was produced until the pattern was discontinued in the late 1970's.
For sale is this wonderful 3 piece set of Hall Autumn Leaf Bowls. They are slightly used and are missing some gold trim that adorned the outer rim, however they are very nice bowls that are substantial and should last the user a lifetime. They are free of any chips or cracks. The largest bowl 5 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter. The other two fit inside of each other and within the large bowl. and in excellent condition. Each bowl is clearly marked on the bottom with the Hall trademark.
