The A.H. Heisey Glass Company was founded in Newark , Ohio in 1895. This company is known for its decorative glass tableware and glass figurines. Tableware and figurines were made using a pressed or blown glass process, in a wide variety of colors and shapes. The factory operated until 1957.
Heisey glassware is famous for its high clarity and brilliance. Glassware was finished with “fire polishing” process which enhanced the beauty and brilliance of the natural glass color. Many of the Heisey pieces have the logo of the company embossed into them, as does this lovely little vase. This wonderful relish tray had the decoration cut into the surface by hand. The tray is 7 & 1/4 inches long and 3 & 1/4 inches wide. It is "near mint" condition and looks new. Glass of this quality is hard to find in today's market.
