The English registry number indicates that this beautiful cheese keeper was made in 1890. The manufacturer's logo is impressed next to the registry, however it is unreadable. The hand painted pattern is reminiscent of Royal Worchester, however I believe "R.W." used stamped marks beneath the glaze. The cheese keeper is 7 & 1/4 inches in length and about 5 & 1/2 inches tall. It is in pristine condition, and may have only been used as a display item for most of its years.
