Sorau is a small town in Germany in the Prussian province of Brandenburg. The Porcelain factory which made this delightful cream pitcher was only in business from 1888 until 1918. and there are only two marks which identify this porcelain...one in gold on the bottom that says "Germany" and a tiny gold anchor on the base in the rear.

The detail is magnificent and the colors are very clean on this 4 & 1/2 inch figurine. He is holding his beer mug in his left hand and steadying it with his right as he contemplates his next action. He's free of any chips or cracks and would make a lovely gift.
