The C.C. Thompson Pottery Company began in 1889 and lasted until 1938. It was headquartered in East Liverpool Ohio, along the Ohio River where a rich deposit of clay is located. This nice covered vegetable was made in the 1930's contrary to the implied date which is printed under the glaze , on the back. The serving dish is a pretty cream color and has deeply embossed patterned surface. The dish is 11 & 1/2 by 7 & 1/2 by 3 inches. There are two flaws...there is a small chip on the edge and a tight hair line crack in the body. The cover seems to be perfect. We have adjusted the price to take into account these fairly minor flaws.
