The motto...."Save your pennies in this bank....Save Dollars by using D-X and Diamond 760" was used as a promotion to sell engine oil. The oil was "The Pioneer Heat-Resisting Lubricant" that had a 100% Paraffin Base. This can was manufactured in 1938 in St. Louis Missouri. The can is 3 & 1/2 inches tall and a little over 2 inches in diameter. It has a coin slot in the top and a "friction holding" bottom, so that you could retrieve your coins when the bank was full. The lithographed surface is in very nice shape with a minimum of old scratches. This is a very nice bank/ oil can collectable.
