This lovely condiment server still has it's original blue cut glass insert....and the insert fits the server perfectly. The hinged lid is still tight and closes properly and the silver smithing craftsmanship is simply wonderful. This 2 & 1/2 inch Edwardian condiment jar is an excellent example of fine artistry available to the wealthy at that time. It's in excellent condition and the hall marks, although polished, are still plain. There are also hall marks on the inside of the lid which verify the sterling silver and place of manufacture.
William Aitken in the city of Birmingham England, made this pretty condiment server in 1902.
