Such a pretty and delicate set of demitasse cups and saucers! They were made in 1958 by the Theodore Haviland Company and some of the cups are marked as such. The pastel pinks and greens of a pattern called "Rosalinde" are a flawless blend of color that add exceptional style and class to this lovely set of four . All pieces are in near perfect condition....it looks as if they were never used. All pieces are marked.
The Haviland China company has an interesting history, and rather than one company three were born. Theodore Haviland started his own company in 1893 and moved it to New York. His motto was "a set for every home." Theodore was very successful and pursued the highest quality for value. The patterns on this set are "Transferware", but executed flawlessly. They have the "feel" and "look" of fine china...and they are!
