Clematis is a late period pattern introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1944. The standard colors were brown, blue, or green with contrasting colored flowers. This 4 and 1/2 inch tall vase happens to be green with pink flowers that are finely developed within their matted glaze. The Clematis pattern is starting to gain popularity . This jardinière is marked with the raised Roseville script mark, and includes the shape number with size. The original mark is difficult to read because the glaze on the bottom was so thick. The piece is in excellent condition , absent of any chips, or cracks, or repairs. It is about 6 inches in diameter.
