Offered is this UNIQUE Art Deco Creamer and Sugar bowl which was made by the Camark Pottery Company during the late 1920's. This set is a very pleasing yellow tinted cream color that is in excellent condition...there are no chips or cracks. It has been hand painted with 22 kt. gold for the trim or accent. The set is about 4 & 1/2 inches long and 2 inches tall and it is marked on the bottom,"Hand Painted NOR-SO, Camdon Ark, 22 kt. gold"

Camark is a contraction of Camdon (County) and Arkansas. In 1927 Alfred P. Tetzschner, a native of Saxony, Germany, created several new lines, including the Futuristic/Modernistic line. This line was influenced by the movement later known as Art Deco. These pieces were beautiful but costly to produce, and the line was discontinued in 1929. The company closed in 1983 after many years of successful operation.
