Bing & Grondahl's signature design, Seagull, was created in 1892 by designer Fanny Garde . The modest but classic design, features flying seagulls against a soft , pale blue background. The sea horse handle and finial lend an extra dimension to the coffee pot and the shaded patterns of scales and embossed fans around the top and bottom are classic. Its popularity during the 1950s, '60's, and '70's made the Seagull design the "National Service of Denmark". During that period one out of every ten Danish households owned some of the dinnerware service.
This coffee pot was manufactured sometime between 1970 and 1983. It is in excellent condition...it appears to be unused. It is free of any chips or cracks. The coffee pot is 10 inches tall.
