The printed mark on the bottom of this beautiful pitcher date it to the 1950's or early 60's. It is nearly 8 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter and it is in excellent, like new, condition. The is only very slight and hardly detectable "use ware" on this lovely pitcher. The colors are vivid and the majolica is sharp.

In 1938 the directors of Shaw & Copestake acquired the company and the name was changed to "Thomas Lawrence Limited', their primary brand being Falcon Ware. In 1957 a new building was completed and opened at Barford Street, Longton. At this time about 140 people were employed. The company ceased production and closed in 1964.
